A brand new venture is starting up at the heart of Aycliffe. A brand that intends to make an impact across the UK and beyond.
A recently retired GP at Pease Way Surgery has his sights set on following his passion for gin making. Having left Pease Way Surgery in December, Colin, aka Dr Scott, has been working hard to find premises and (carefully) researching the flavours of gin.
The Gin brand will bring together Dr Scott and business partner Wayne Richardson’s fascination with herbal remedies and they will use this to fuel their passion and vision to create a series of beautiful and uniquely flavoured gins.
Our Gins will focus on original combinations of botanicals and herbs, some of which have been attributed with medicinal properties in days gone by, along with some botanicals from across the globe which have never been used in Gins before. Hence the name of the brand and company – “The Herbal Gin Company”.
This exciting new distillery will be set up within Aycliffe Business Park, delivering its wares by means of a unique “Aviation themed” gin bar. The venue will eventually provide a “gin experience” for enthusiasts, allowing individuals and groups throughout the UK to enjoy creating their own gin blends which they can take home to enjoy later. Even now, there have been expressions of interest from as far afield as Scotland and Ireland, established local businesses and a client as far afield as Dorset.
