It was fantastic to be a guest and part of the congregation at Xcel Church on Sunday 10th September to celebrate their 50th Anniversary in Newton Aycliffe.
The Service was inspirational and the faith of members palpable, bringing tears to the eyes as they sung in loud praise of the Lord.
The choir, soloists and band brought music with sincere lyrics to those present, provoking inward contemplation and hope for the future, enabling all to leave energised and with open hearts.
Each speaker had important messages, none least but County Councillor John Clare who, as an invited guest, has a long association with the church. A great orator, John spoke with passion, saluting the family who from humble beginnings founded the church in Newton Aycliffe.
The celebrations continue throughout this month so watch out for more news on how the church was formed and its magnificent expansion here and abroad including its work helping others, less fortunate.
