Scarlet Whitaker Dunn had a successful day of testing at Teesside Autodrome on Sunday 19th May. The ambitious young kart racer from School Aycliffe was there with her family team to hone her skills and the set up of the kart in preparation for round 3 of the Teesside Sprint Series in June.
Scarlet is looking forward to the return of her main race engine, which is currently at the engine builders being refreshed ahead of her next race, where she hopes to make further progress and to add to her championship point’s tally.
“I enjoyed the test day as we tried out different set ups to see which worked best and I worked on my race lines with coaching from Mam,” stated Scarlet.
“Scarlet drove well to obtain a good set up ready for the next race. Completing 86 fast laps of the circuit Scarlet showed very good form despite suffering from a bad cough,” said Mam.
