Dear Sir
I write in response to recent articles regarding Tesco Fuel causing cars to break down. After suffering thousands of pounds worth of damage to my new car a few years ago and having contact with other people who had suffered the same financial loss, I wrote to Newton News and passed on my concern.
It causes me more concern that Tesco are still supplying people with poor quality or contaminated fuel years later.
Tesco still refuse to accept that they have any responsibility, and they obviously buy cheap fuel, to the cost of many local people.
They believe price is right, its convenient and maybe it won’t happen to them so they will continue to supply us with poor quality fuel. “Every little helps” is their advertising slogan, but it only helps their financial gain at our loss!

Ed: Tesco rightly say that if one car was affected by contaminated fuel then there would be hundreds. It only appears to be a few very isolated cases and it could be for other reasons.
