I was shocked to see the price of diesel at Tesco Newton Aycliffe at today’s date 23/4/18 showing their diesel price at £1.23.9 per litre. At Sainsbury’s Tindale it is £1.16.9 per litre. That is a fair old hike in price and even their own Tesco branch at Tindale is only £1.18.9 a litre.
I thought Dick Turpin was long gone but apparently not.
It only goes to show this Town is crying out for competition to this greedy store, but no doubt when that new store arrives Tesco will be pleading for loyal customers, but at this rate they won’t have any.
