Team Warrior TKD hosted their first competition of the year at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on Sunday 24th February 2019. The 1-2-1, Poomsae and Para Poomsae Competition was a great success, with over 200 competitors from all over the Country competing. 1-2-1 Competitions are used as a stepping stone for novice fighters, where they can gain confidence before progressing to the bigger competitions. The Poomsae element of the Competition is the traditional side of taekwondo, with competitors demonstrating a sequence of moves called Poomsae. The event ran very smoothly and received a lot of positive feedback from the Clubs that attended. Team Warrior TKD are also looking forward to hosting their second North East Open Championships in June 2019 and are expecting even more competitors than last year.
