Aimee Howarth, winner of Aycliffe’s Got Tallent Competition, run by Aycliffe Radio in 2019, is hosting her first solo event to raise funds for Dementia UK, in memory of her late Grandfather, Fred, who sadly suffered a stroke and lost his battle in June 2021.
Aimee, who is 17, attended Woodham Academy and is now at Bishop Auckland College studying music. After winning the competition she has since performed at Aycliffe Pride Festival, alongside some well known tribute acts, to rapturous reviews and is due to sing at lots of local shows after this performance.
Aimee’s first solo gig takes place on 7th October at the Phoenix Club from 7pm. Tickets are almost sold out with only a handful still available. A raffle will also take place with over 60 prizes on offer.
