Leaders Sonia, Maureen, Joan, Ian and members of M.A.D. Productions gave the Pastors of Xcel Church a “Surprise Supper” this week to thank them for their support over many years.
It was a big surprise for John & Lisa Greenhow, Julian and Kerina Clarke, on entering the room, to be greeted and applauded by over 150 people including John’s parents Pastor Glen and Pam Greenhow.
A very nice buffet was enjoyed before the M.A.D. musical group put on a superb night of singing and dancing combined with tributes to the fine leadership, courage and encouragement by the Pastors and their wives.
A cross section of church members took the opportunity to express their thanks to the Pastors for the loving Church fellowship everyone enjoys at Xcel.
among those who spoke were Philip Ledune, Rachel Mawson, Albert Hodgson and James Ross.
M.A.D. have presented numerous shows and raised £1000’s for charity including the Great North Ambulance and Help for Heroes.
Their productions are always supported by talented performers from the Xcel Church and the entertaiment provided is always of the highest standard.
“We appreciate the support Xcel Church give to our young people and this evening was arranged to show just how grateful we are” said Joan.
