Friday 6th February was ‘Go Red Day’ in aid of the British Heart Foundation and Bewick Crescent Surgery staff decided to join in the fun.
Heart disease is one of the UK’s biggest killers, and the Heart Foundation have pioneered research for over 50 years transforming the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions.
But so many people still need help from babies born with life threatening heart problems, to the many Mams, Dads and Grandparents who survive a heart attack and endure the daily battles of heart failure.
Bewick Crescent surgery staff all donated money to wear ‘Red’ for the day, and thanks to Christine all enjoyed buying lovely cupcakes. A total of £70 was raised in memory of the late Patrick Gallacher, a member of staff who died suddenly 3 years ago of an unknown heart condition.
Anyone can join the fight for every heartbeat in the UK, every pound raised and every donation of goods to the British Heart Foundation shop in our town centre will help make a difference to peoples lives.
