Dear Sir
I find the news that Phil Wilson and other local MP’s are supporting a referendum on the Brexit deal.
I find it laughable that some Brexiteers say that this would be a betrayal of democracy, which to me it is quite the opposite!
Brexit is too big a decision to be solely decided on one vote. I was against the referendum in the first place and I’m sure I was not alone in this.
The referendum gives the public a chance to fully scrutinise whatever deal is provided by our hapless government and then make a fully informed decision on the EU rather than voting blind and on false promises and hypothetical scenarios. It seems to me to be a no-brainer! This is Democracy!
