A super fun day in one of the most beautiful areas of our lovely town is being planned to coincide with the end of the school holidays.
Western area Stakeholder Group working in partnership with Livin, Western Area Community Centre and the Hub of Wishes have asked Ken Robson. Town Councillor and Chair of ACORN Residents Association to lead the event.
Ken would like to hear from any active groups and individuals in Newton Aycliffe and surrounding areas who wish to be involved. He is frantically trying to contact groups such as our Territorial Army volunteers, Air Training Corps, Sea Scouts, Guides, Brownies, WI, Scouts, Dancing Groups, Jazz bands, Helping Hands, and Youth groups looking for members etc.
With dark nights drawing in we want to showcase groups who set out to entertain and educate. Funding from Living allows the organisers to put together a fantastic day featuring:
Professor Nincompoop, Harry Potty, Dot & Zooky, Inflatable Slide, Bouncy Castle, Roundabouts for small children, Police Beat Team with Bobby the Bull, Fire & Rescue vehicle and Pony rides
Individuals who would like to volunteer as nail painters or facepainters would be especially useful as would anyone who would like to be stewards.
Silverdale Place is THE venue so please come along to this showcase event on the 25th August 10.30 till 2.30 ish.
