HC-One’s St. Clare’s Court, on Central Avenue opened its doors to friends, family and the local community for the home’s annual Summer Fair on Saturday 10th August.
Despite the poor weather, guests and residents of the home enjoyed a fun-filled day with a variety of stalls, a vintage car, fire engines, local ukulele group and a visit from the community police.
The performance from the ukulele group was enjoyed by all and even inspired one resident, Joe Brazier, to join the band and is now joining the practice sessions with his very own ukulele.
A great time was had by all, with visitors commenting on what a lovely time they had getting to know the residents and taking part in the different activities throughout the day.
St. Clare’s Court Home Manager, Michelle Jones said: “I would like to thank the team for organising such a wonderful event, it was a pleasure to welcome the local community into our home and celebrate together.”
