Community Spirit Newton Aycliffe have been reflecting on an amazing first year and would like to share the sentiment with the residents of Newton Aycliffe.
Firstly, we would like to thank everyone for supporting us in our charitable fund raising by attending our disco’s, craft fairs, Santa’s grotto and street collections. Without your support we would not be able to help the vulnerable people in our own Community.
We would also like to thank Gary Hepple and Alan Nelson at The Big Club for their support at our fund raising events. Their staff go above and beyond to make our events successful.
Also, the Howarth family at Newton Press, for their constant support throughout the year. Thanks must also go to Newton Aycliffe Police for helping with Santa’s Grotto; Shirley at Tesco for helping with the hamper order; Coffee Pronto for their participation in the Christmas Dinners for the lonely.
Without the support and generosity of these groups Community Spirit would not have been able to achieve so many great acts of kindness within this amazing town of Newton Aycliffe.
There are many other fantastic charity groups within our town who do amazing work; Junction7, St. Clare’s Food Bank, Neville Community Centre and Horndale Resident’s Association.
We look forward to working with them and the community Police in the future to continue making this town a great place to live.
We would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year!
