The Herbal Gin Company, along with its sister company, The Aviator Gin Bar, launched earlier this year to great local reception, offering something new, novel, and interesting to the town of Newton Aycliffe. The people of Aycliffe and County Durham have been hugely supportive, especially so this festive season, sending our gin around the nation to their friends and family and, of course, enjoying a few bottles themselves.
The business has had an eventful start, launching in the midst of a pandemic and into an interesting political climate, everything has been uncertain – except one thing that we have always been able to count on, our customers. Looking to support the local community that we call home, we have sponsored charities including the Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group, we have held social events and parties including our hugely popular Oktoberfest, and more recently we have partnered with other local businesses that share our passion for quality service.
Aycliffe Dairy, a staple of the local area, can now proudly offer a gin-to-your-door service, stocking a range of festive gin gift sets to be delivered alongside their already fantastic range of responsibly sourced products.
At The Aviator Gin Bar, we wanted to offer more than just drinks to our customers, so we partnered with the hugely popular local diner, Shake ‘n’ Cake, who supply a bespoke menu including some tasty unique dishes made using our gin. Click ‘E’ Mart, the sister company to the diner, is also a stockist of the herbal gin range, offering gin deliveries straight to your door alongside a range of groceries.
The County in Aycliffe Village, one of the finest restaurants in the region, is also a proud stockist of The Herbal Gin Company range – offering not only our collection of gins and vodkas but also a selection of festive Christmas gifts.
Then there is Headlam Hall, a luxurious hotel and spa near Darlington, offering our range of craft gin behind the bar and in various bespoke cocktails. Headlam Hall have also developed some delicious and unique fine-dining recipes incorporating our gin, all prepared by their excellent chefs.
And of course, there is the Newton News, a pillar of the local community, run by an excellent team that have been endlessly supportive during our incorporation and who we are immensely proud to sponsor.
Working together with other local businesses during these challenging times has helped us all to remain positive and has allowed us to provide a great and varied service to our customers. We look forward to the new year which will see us experimenting with some new brands and product ranges, with plenty of opportunity for our loyal customers and the community to get involved. Hopefully, once the pandemic is under control, we can welcome everyone back into the Aviator for some tasty cocktails served alongside delicious food, proudly served by Shake ‘n’ Cake.
