Greenfield Students were determined to play a positive part to mark ‘World Suicide Prevention Day’ observed on September 10th of each year. To mark this the school joined the ‘If you care share’ campaign … Going Inside out.
TEAMH are a group of Greenfield students who resolutely promote positive mental health and work closely with the ‘If you care share’ initiative. This year they marked the event by turning their blazers inside out and challenged students to “Ask us why?”
This then promoted discussions with students about not keeping things bottled up inside and the benefits sharing can have on mental health.
Staff also showed their support for the campaign, Executive Headteacher David Priestley wore his jacket inside out as he spoke about raising awareness in the school assembly and staff followed suit as they initiated important class discussions and awareness during Time4Success.
Greenfield staff are very proud of the achievements of ‘TEAMH’ as the students work very hard to help others feel good about themselves, tackling important issues with integrity and enthusiasm.
