Students in Year 10 at Woodham Academy took part in an enrichment week in July. The aim was to enable students to consider and research post 16 opportunities.
Students visited local post 16 providers to find out more about the courses on offer, learned about the how national apprenticeship service can support budding apprentices and took part in an assessment centre style event led by the Durham Education Business Partnership in conjunction with local companies.
“I have really enjoyed this week, said Kyla Scott, a Year 10 student at the school. I would now like to find out more about different A level courses.”
The week forms part of the Careers Education programme at Woodham Academy, which has been recently deemed outstanding by Investors in Careers, a nationally recognised Careers Education regulator.
