Pupils at Walworth Special School, Newton Aycliffe are celebrating the arrival of a very special trophy.  Paul Mansfield (Senior Residential Childcare Officer) has arranged for the world cup (only a replica) to be displayed within the school residential facility.
All children have been allocated a team to follow with special prizes awarded to those who research information about their designated country. A table football competition is underway as well as Trivia, Word Search and geographical based challenges.
Paul said “I feel this is an ideal opportunity for pupils to learn about all of the countries associated with the World Cup Tournament”.
All the pupils are excited to be taking part and are looking forward to the team being presented with the real trophy on July 13th.
