Dear Sir,
I am writing to inform you that the Stroke Association’s Peer Support Group has changed its venue and starting from 10th July we will be meeting at the Youth Centre, Burn Lane. If you are interested please come along from1pm – 3pm.
The service offers support in a group setting, friendship networks, support to access training or to return to work, recreational activities, access to volunteering opportunities, support for carers, and information about resources and opportunities to meet others in a similar situation.
Speakers from different organisations are invited, depending on what people in the group are interested in or keen to hear about.
The sessions enable stroke survivors and their carers to meet with other people, share thoughts, regain confidence, re-learn skills, and support each other.
I would like to offer anyone who thinks this would benefit them the opportunity to join us. People who are interested should please contact me on 01388 771 524.
Kay Seymour – Peer Support Coordinator for the Stroke Association
