Amateur astronomers can explore the wonders of the night sky during an evening of stargazing at a County Durham museum.
Killhope: the North of England Lead Mining Museum hosts the session on Saturday, 20 October.
Expert astronomer Paul Meade and members of the Friends of Sunderland Astronomical Society will lead visitors on a guided tour of the solar system. It’s then back to earth for a hot supper.
The evening starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm, with visitors advised to wrap up warm.
Tickets are £20 for adults and £5 for children and booking is essential.
