Back in December, St. Francis’ Junior School and Horndale won the Community Christmas Tree competition and were rewarded with a visit to ROF 59 and McDonalds. What an amazing, bounce-tastic day we all had. The children and staff would like to sincerely thank PC Welch for organising our award for winning the Community Christmas Tree competition with Frosty and our mission to melt hearts with kindness as well McDonalds for our delicious happy meals.
The children and staff had lots of fun. Children enjoyed bouncing on the trampolines, swinging on the Tarzan swing and getting the chance to climb the climbing walls where they managed to climb from the bottom right to the top, it was a challenge and they persevered to reach their goal. It wouldn’t have been the same without our bouncing inspiring PC Welch and PCSO Kipling who helped us to conquer our fears and to shine to be the best we can be. It has provided the children with a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend with their school family as well as to forge stronger links with the police we had pre-Covid.
Thank you and well done to the staff and children for your efforts with the Christmas Tree.
