Greenfield Community College has recently held its annual Sports Presentation Evening and it was fantastic to see so many families at school to support and celebrate the success of a school hall full of inspirational students.
This year has seen an exciting journey where PE has continued to grow. We have been recently recognised with the afPE Quality mark status that acknowledges the outstanding results in individual and team achievements. All students who attended the presentation received a certificate to celebrate their achievement in the vast array of extra-curricular clubs that Greenfield Community College offer throughout the year. Sports including football, netball, rugby, athletics, tennis, badminton, table tennis, cross-country, dodgeball, basketball, cricket, sports hall athletics, girls football, rounders, mountain biking, gymnastics, sports leadership, boccia and handball.
The ceremony provided opportunity to celebrate winners for personality, commitment, most improved, academic and sporting excellence, team of the year, sports leader and an outstanding club performance and students were invited on stage for the infamous entertainment round, which was themed around a ‘Question of Sport’.
Two prestigious awards were presented that evening for Outstanding Performance in School Sport with Adam Ord winning the accolade for the fourth time in four years for the boys and Ameera Haizan for the girls.
Congratulations to all students who have represented the school this last year. You have done yourself, your family and your PE teachers proud.
