Spennymoor swimming pool is splashing good fun this summer. Families living in the area are being encouraged to pop along to the leisure centre in the town where waves, a slide and splash sessions are keeping little ones entertained throughout the summer holidays.
Younger swimmers are being invited to try out the new aqua-catch now open to the public.
Safety is increased for younger or less able swimmers as the aqua-catch features an attachment at the end of the slide which is used to slow the rider to a gentle stop.
Mark Lee, centre manager, said: “Why not cool off this summer and head for our pool. We’ve got the slide and a wave machine to keep younger ones entertained now that school is out.”
