On Friday 21st June Spiderman visited Aycliffe Village Primary School. This happened because a boy in Year Four won a competition called, “Who would you want to walk to school with and why?” The winner wanted to walk with Spiderman and had “amazing” reasons why.
The Local Motion team organised for Spiderman to walk to school with with children dressed up in their own superhero costumes. When Spiderman arrived at school, everyone was crowded round the school gates cheering for Spiderman. To start the day Spiderman rang the school bell.
Once in school Spiderman and his helpers held an assembly which was based on a Spiderman story. This involved Spiderman getting helpers up on the stage to help him.
This day was held to encourage children to walk to school and stay healthy. Everyone had a great time.
