Dear Sir,
The road surface has been repaired on Williamfield Way and it is now a pleasure to drive on it. But with that brings the inevitable boy racer’s, that treat it like Brands Hatch.
Already, I have seen people taking photo’s on the road of these idiots. But please do not spoil this surface by putting speed humps on it as in other parts of the town! A cheap option to slow drivers down but with the potential damage to vehicles suspension, springs etc.
A far better remedy, in my opinion, is to strategically place speed camera’s on the road, not only will this have the desired result but will perhaps go to help pay for future road repairs in years to come. While some may frown on this, as a responsible driver, if you stick to the speed limits this should not be of concern.
