On Saturday 18th of May Graham Abraham, who delivered Newton News as a teenager, married Karina Alderson at St Andrew’s Church in South Church.
The groom, from Newton Aycliffe had his friend Matt Huttchinson as Best Man and his two brothers Matthew and Alexander as ushers along with friend Michael Sutton.
The chief bridesmaid was the bride’s sister Katie Alderson, with her cousin Aimee and friend Laura Coates as bridesmaids. Her niece Aela Sutton was the flower girl. The bride was given away by her mother Liz Alderson. Both Graham and Karina work at Specsavers, which is where they met. The reception was held at The George in Piercebridge chosen for its riverside location.
Unfortunately the river was in flood and cut short any photographs by the river, but the reception was still a great success. The couple are making their home in Woodham, Newton Aycliffe.
