Students at the South Durham School of Dance have achieved some remarkable results in their recent IDTA Freestyle Dance Exams, with all the students achieving grades of ‘Honours’ or ‘Highly Commended’. The results were:-
Bronze Joanne Cunliffe 90% Honours; Kate Herdman 86% Highly Commended; Anna Shaw 90% Honours; Leah Stamp 88% Highly Commended
Silver Jordan Goodwin 93% Honours; Maddison Mackinlay 88% Highly Commended; Alicia Simpson 91% Honours
1st Gold Bar Abbie Kennedy 93% Honours
2nd Gold Bar Kira Watson 94% Honours
1st Star Kasia Shaw 92% Honours
3rd Star Kalya Shaw 93% Honours
5th Star Jade Wakefield 91% Honours; Daniela Winwood 93% Honours
3rd President Andrea Menzies 93% Honours
2nd Supreme Annis Race 95% Honours
For the younger children and newcomers, some doing their very first exams and where the examination is either a ‘pass’ or a ‘fail’, they all did very well. The results were:-

3rd Stardance (8 to 10yrs) Drew Shaw Pass
In the Rock n Roll section, the results were as follows:-

The examiner made some wonderful comments to the students and for the dance school’s first full set of examinations, it is an amazing achievement and all of the students should be really proud of themselves.
