Newton Aycliffe Scout Supporters are hosting DAVE BROWN’s Northern Soul at the Scout Centre Bluebell Way, on Sunday 28th August from 6.30pm. Tickets are £3 on the door. This is promising to be a very popular night –so tickets are on a first come first served basis. We are only a small venue so make sure you get here early! This event is the finale of our August Bank Holiday entertainment.
The fun starts on Wednesday when the vintage/classic caravan club start to pitch up. These visitors are from all over the country and are coming to see what the North East has to offer.
On Saturday evening 27th August Daniel Cole is on guitar in the bar from 8pm singing songs from Roy Orbison, The Beatles, T Rex, Elvis Presley, Oasis and many others. Entry is free to this event.
On Sunday the 28th August Northern Bygones hold their CLASSIC VEHICLE SHOW from 10am – with many expected – cars bikes and even the odd commercial. Refreshments will be on sale provided by 1st Newton Aycliffe Scout Group. There will be a TABLE TOP SALE in the hall, paintings, jewellery and bric-a-brac will be on sale. The licensed bar will also be open to provide soft and alcoholic drinks. All proceeds from this weekend will be used to run and maintain the Scout centre and enable Scout groups that use the facility to continue using the premises free of charge.
