Keith Bailey, is a name Newtonians are familiar with as the owner of Roots Hairdressing Salon in Newton Aycliffe for nearly 40 years.
He was located in the town’s leisure centre and ‘up the ramp’ in the Town Centre. Keith moved two years to the Business Park, opposite Tallents, with other new businesses in St Cuthberts House.
With ample free parking Roots offer Ladies & Gents hairdressing with a walk-in Barber service and beauty treatments in a modern, professional setting with team which has a wealth of top class experience.
Keith has recently welcomed back his daughter Jemma after a 15 year career as a Business Development Executive. She re-joins the family business bringing knowledge and experience to further develop the Salon.
Mark Bailey, Keith’s son, from London, travels the world styling for celebrities including Kylie Minogue, Keira Knightly, Elle and Vogue magazines and is currently signed by the London Style Agency. He returns to his roots once a month and appointments are snapped up as soon as released.
Both Mark and Jemma started their hairdressing career at a young age and were previously franchise holders of Toni & Guy, Darlington.
Roots recently welcomed Sian Alexandra, a beauty therapist and hair stylist, with extensive knowledge in colouring and Bridal Styling. Sian offers a range of services, including Shellac, Nails, Spray Tanning, Waxing and more, as well as a full range of Ladies Hair services.
The Team at Roots are very excited about up and coming developments in the business; with 300 years of hairdressing skills handed down through the generations. Keith, who also teaches at Darlington College, will be offering the opportunity to learn the art of wet shaving at his new Shave School. Roots also offer exclusive hire of the salon for Birthday Parties, and Hen Parties etc.
