The Student Loans Company has launched a recruitment drive for a new cohort of Student Finance Officers to join its team in Darlington.

 

Earlier this year, SLC expanded its team welcoming 128 new recruits into its site in Lingfield Point. It’s pleased to be offering over 100 new permanent roles in the North East with a summer start date. The SFO’s will play a key role in processing and paying student finance applications for new and returning students in the 23/24  academic year.

 

SLC processes up to two million student finance applications each year and in the last academic year (21/22) paid more than £22bn in maintenance loans, grants and tuition fees.

SLC’s mission is to enable people to invest in their futures through access to further and higher education.

The SFO role is vital as it includes supporting customers at the various stages of their student finance journeys, including processing applications, case managing applications and answering questions from across a number of channels including inbound and outbound calls, email, webchat and by post.
