Dave Cunliffe was part of a small team that travelled up to the Scottish Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition last weekend held in Glasgow. Dave trains mainly BJJ with a team in Durham and also helps out with a class his friend, John Paul, runs at Aycliffe Leisure Centre twice a week. Dave managed to get himself a silver medal in his division fighting several people from around the country in the grappling based tournament. Dave which he does on a regular basis. The pair have entered most competitions in the UK & Ireland this year so far and Dave also plans on competing in Denmark at the end of the month. Classes in BJJ are held at Aycliffe Leisure Centre every Thursday from 8-9pm and Sunday 3-4pm for all levels and beginners are welcome to come and try the sport for fitness competition and fun
