Greenfield Arts are busy preparing for their popular ‘Open Art Exhibition’ which will run from Thursday 8th March to Wednesday 18th April 2018. The event gives the opportunity for emerging artists to display up to 3 pieces of work in a wonderful gallery space, an experience which often encourages artists to work towards their own exclusive exhibition.
The event is a truly ‘open experience’ and is open to applications from all art forms, the exhibition always provides a superb range of work in different media and a range of subjects. This year we are looking at ‘The Power of the Pen’ and how art can inspire creativity and passion in us all, this can encompass all art forms as they often derive from a written or drawn idea. The deadline for entries is Friday 2nd February 2018 and cost is only £10 per entry fee. There will also be a public preview of work on Wednesday 7th January and a celebration evening with craft fair on the closing evening on Wednesday 18th April from 6pm – 8pm, offering the chance to enjoy the final evening of the exhibition and have the opportunity to buy some very special crafts.
Greenfield Arts are also delighted to announce their next exhibition ‘Travels Through Art’ by Sonya Burn, a local self-taught artist who has explored different cultures through her passion for art. The exhibition will run from Thursday 8th February – Wednesday 28th February 2018 and features a range of mediums including paper, ink and metal and some excellent acrylic work. Sonya will also be hosting a public preview of her work on Wednesday 7th February 6pm – 8pm, the event is open to all and will include works for sale .
