Shildon Model Railway Club are pleased to announce it will be holding its first Spring Exhibition since before Covid in 2019. It will be held at a new venue for the first time at the Oakleaf Sports Complex, School Aycliffe Lane, Newton Aycliffe DL5 6QZ on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th June.
There will be more than twenty exhibits on show with award winning exhibits coming from as far as Scotland and Southern England. Thomas and Friends will also be making an appearance at which the children can operate the models.
There will also be many Model Railway retailers present from all over the country. These will be covering all aspects of railway modelling including makes of locomotives including Bachmann, Hornby and Dapol to name a few.
The Exhibition opening times are Saturday 10am until 5pm and Sunday 10am until 4pm.
The centre has free parking with full disabled access. There are bar and restaurant facilities available. Also a playground with picnic area is available.
