A NORTH East racecourse is gearing up for one of the highlights of its national hunt season when the Betfred Class 2 Novices Handicap Hurdle Final gets underway next week, with a top prize fund of £20k up for grabs. The qualifiers have proved extremely popular with over 100 horses competing.
Sedgefield Racecourse is set to host the culmination of its Hurdle Series on Friday, March 20, with a prize fund of £20k on offer. Last year seen Tim Easterby winning the Hurdle Final with Get A Buzz ridden by Dougie Costello. With five qualifiers for this season can Tim be as successful this year. A further press release will include entries this coming Monday.
The raceday, which gets started at 12.00pm, will see seven races in total with the pinnacle race, the Class 2 Hurdle Final getting underway at 3.35pm.
