St. Francis’ were very lucky to welcome Mrs Jenkins from Woodham who joined our Year 5’s for an afternoon of Science fun.
The children worked together to create parachutes as part of an experiment. They learnt all about air resistance and how it can impact how something moves through the air.
The children made four parachutes in total, of different sizes, they then tested them to see if the size of the parachute changed the air resistance and how quickly or slowly the parachute falls from the height – the results were very interesting.
Thank you very much Mrs Jenkins, we had an amazing time.
