Pupils and staff at Byerley Park Primary School really did ‘bathe’ in all the sunshine last week! With the weather forecast predicted to be hot, it was decided to hold a Water Fun Afternoon on Friday 12th July, which involved pupils bringing in their swimming costumes, towels and whatever water toys they could get their hands on!
Staff filled up large bins with water so pupils could top up their water pistols and bombs ready for action in the designated wet area on the school field! Paddling pools were brought in duly filled and a sprinkler, ready for pupils to run through!
Everyone had a fantastic afternoon of fun and friendship. Both pupils and staff alike were soaked through to their skin. A short break in proceedings was warmly welcomed, especially as there was an ice lolly for everyone to enjoy. Some of the children stated that this was one of the best days of their school life!
