Three big challenges, one big goal . . . Sarah Tilley, 28 from Newton Aycliffe will be warming up her trainers in three running events all for Cancer Research UK.
Starting with the Darlington 5km Race for Life on Sunday 9th June as a warm up, Sarah will then be joining members from Shildon Running Club dressed as Snowmen join in the “The Summer Christmas” themed 22 hour Relay for Life at Jarrow’s Monkton Stadium on Saturday 13th July finishing Sunday 14th July.
Then finally finishing her challenge with the 13 long miles from Newcastle to South Shields in her first Bupa Great North Run on Sunday 15th Septmeber.
With training underway, Sarah is now taking on the task of getting Sponsorships and running fundraising events so that she can raise as much as possible for this charity that is close to her’s and so many others hearts.
Firstly on Saturday 13th April, Sarah will be joined by members from the “Shildon Snowmen” relay team to do a collection at the Aycliffe vs. Shildon Football match at Moore Lane Sports Club.
Sarah will be then holding a Spring/home and gift fete at Moore Lane Sports Club on 20th April 1.00pm till 4.00pm. With stall’s including SentimentAli Paper cuts, Tallulah Button, Joey and Annie at Home, www.woodgift.co.uk, Golightmecandles, Herbalife, Safi’s Bows and many many more.
Food will be available from Auntie Ann’s Kitchen including sandwiches, toasties and hot beverages, the bar will also be open in the next room. On the day there will be a raffle with prizes including paintball vouchers, beauty vouchers, soft play vouchers, farm vouchers plus many more.
