Good news! Santa has told us that he will be able to visit the parish of Great Aycliffe on Christmas Eve for his traditional tour, which Great Aycliffe Town Council helps him to organise!
Santa has asked that you congregate at locations that are easy for him to access on his sleigh, as on Christmas Eve some streets can be too narrow to enter due to parked cars. You can check Santa’s progress with live updates on GATC’s Facebook page.
Please remember, because Santa and his helpers don’t know how many people will be out to see him, the times are only a guideline, please listen out for the Christmas music and bells.
This community event could not take place without the help of 36 volunteers, the companies who loan us their sleighs: Frack’s Transport, Aycliffe Fabrications, Sabre Rail, Ashcourt Skip Hire, Gardner’s Yard and Securicorp. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their support.
This year the Santa Tours have been sponsored by: The Milk Man, Sharon Ellis Travel Agent, Great Aycliffe Garden Guild, Dominos, Jukebox Repairs & Servicing, Chapters Counselling, Sparkle Aycliffe, Anything Aycliffe, K&L Travel, Head Quarters and Aycliffe Dance Academy.
