On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to be joined by the Newton Aycliffe PCOS team for our safety carousel. The children in year 5 and 6 spent the day building their awareness of cyber bullying, antisocial behaviour, bullying, internet safety and crime and punishment, with workshops and activities. We learnt what to do in a situation where we didn’t feel safe or quite right, how to stay safe in many situations and what an amazing job our police team do every day!
The day was rounded off by a whole school presentation with VIP police dog Jet. We now know how important police dogs are to the police force and the amazing job they do.
