Durham City Summer Cross Country Relays took place recently held on the University Race Course Sports Field and Aycliffe Running Club had an entry of six teams.
The heavy rain didn’t dampen the spirits and the “A” team led by Dez Fielden finished a creditable 14th out of 70 teams. Results are as follows but due to a changeover mix-up some individual times weren’t given.
Senior Men “A” Team: Dez Fielden 10:52, Richard Campbell 11:24, Mark Wade – 10:53, 14th.
Senior Women “D” Team: Kelly Smith 14:00, Shelley McCormack, Kat Aspey, 65th.
Veteren Men “C” Team: Steve Smith 13:03, Jason Dixon 13:52, Graeme Miles 12:27, 31st.
Veteran Men “B” Team: Trevor Needham 13:38, Simon Robinson 16:25, Steve Smith 13:13, 57th.
Veteran Mixed “F” Team: Penny Johnson 15:01, Elaine Morgan 18:45, Alan Wilks 14:24, 69th.
Veteran Women “E” Team: Michelle Dixon 16:36, Angela Barrett 15:14, Judith Porter 15:29, 66th.
