A busy weekend for Aycliffe Junior Athletes.
First up, braving the weather, Trinity competed at Hartlepool XC. She took on the muddy course and jumped a treacherous stream to achieve 6th place overall, a fantastic achievement by our young star.
Next up, Aycliffe storm to overall second at CDAN Event. At the combined CDAN U13 and U15 indoor sports hall event, Aycliffe U13’s pulled off an outstanding position of second overall (the highest Aycliffe has ever placed). This made more impressive, as Aycliffe did not field any U15’s, therefore losing points to overall winners Phoenix Flyers. But showing how dominant they were in their age category.
Establishing a lead early on, after multiple wins in the running events, Aycliffe continued on their fantastic performance in the field events. It has been announced that all Aycliffe Athletes will go on to represent County Durham at Regionals.
This is an amazing accomplishment. Well done, Amy, Connor, Courtney, Elizabeth and Henry. You have done yourselves and everyone proud.
