Rotary Handover Night took place on Tuesday 7th July, on Zoom of course.
Jean Thompson stepped down as President and passed the chain of office to Trish Pemberton. Thanks for a great year Jean, and good luck Trish for the year to come.
Earlier in the day, Senior Vice President, Gary Blenkinsopp, delivered flowers to both Jean and Trish.
Margaret Fenwick was honoured to receive from Jean, the annual President’s tribute, the Syd Howarth Award, for services to our club and Rotary International, flowers and chocolates too.
Margaret said that, “when Syd realised his health was failing, he began the mentoring process, so that I could take up the PR function for the club. His last piece of advice was to always maintain the image of the club in the public domain”.
