The Rotary Club Charity Night at the British Legion was a fantastic event with proceeds shared bwetween the Poppy Appeal and local charities.
The Legion Concert Secretary, Sue Land, organised three live music acts including John Mac, Georgio and Georgia Lee who all gave their services free.
The Rotary Club held a valuable raffle with a prize value of £400 donated by local businesses, obtained by Rotarian Angela Stevenson who thanks everyone for their support.
There was Bingo, dancing and a Pie & Peas supper all included in the £5 ticket which brought a sell out attendance.
Star of the evening was Bar Lady Trish Reed who had her long hair shaved off in aid of the charities. She raised a staggering £1,325 from sponsorship which was amazing.
Rotary President Geoff Batchelor thanked the British Legion Management Committee for their kindness in offering their Concert Room for Charity Nights. He made particular reference to Trish for her magnificent efforts and Sue Land’s co-operation, and thanked everyone for their support.
