Rtn. Jill Thompson (right) received the Rotary Club’s prestigious “Robin Watson Award” for outstanding work in the community from Past President Nora Scott. The annual award is presented to a Rotarian for a particular project and Jill is recognised for starting the campaign to provide Defibrillators for public access in the town. The Rotary Club began by installing a life saving machine in Tesco’s over two years ago and funded one at the Sports Club supported the appeal for another to go outside St. Clare’s Church.
