Local pet charity NASSL were invited to visit Rose Lodge Care Home, Cobblers Hall, Newton Aycliffe to collect all things cat!
Staff and residents have been hard at work collecting cat and kitten food, cat toys, cat beds and beautiful crocheted blankets all for our rescue cats to make their lives a little more cosy.
We took two of our rescue dogs, Piper (in the picture) and Penny a very cute Shih tzu who at the time the photo was taken was sat on a residents knee!
The dogs proved very popular, it was lovely to see the residents faces light up when they saw the animals. Piper and Penny particularly enjoyed their visit which began with one of the ladies from the kitchen bringing out a very nice treat for them which went down very well.
