After some fantastic success at competition, Spectrum Roller Skating Club hosted a Celebrate and Skate Roller Disco with ‘Glow Party’ theme recently.
We had fantastic support and would like to thank everyone who came along and joined in the party. Over 30 skaters (aged between 3-45) attended Shildon Sunnydale Leisure Centre on Friday 6th October to join in the fun.
Thank you to the Leisure Centre for kindly allowing us to use their disco lights. Our super parent volunteers created a fantastic atmosphere by providing glow sticks, food, drinks, balloons, sweetie cones and even a popcorn kart! We raised over £30 from a tombola and sale of popcorn/sweets which we will put towards more hire skates.
The team had so much fun we have decided to run more roller discos – Friday evenings 7.30-8.30pm at Shildon Sunnydale. The price is only £3 (+£1 skate hire). Our skate hire is very limited, so if you have your own skates – please bring them! This weeks theme is ‘gold’.
