Bengal Lounge an Indian Restaurant at Woodham Village kindly contacted Newton Aycliffe Junior FC after reading our website (www.najuniorfc.co.uk). The restaurant offered to sponsor a team strip for 2 years and this very generous offer could not have come at a better time as the Under 14’s (2012-2013 season) were in depserate need of a new kit and could not source a sponsor.
All the players now have a new jersey, shorts and socks ready for the forthcoming season. The lads tried out their new kit last week at their home tournament coming away with the Runners up Cup and we hope this is the sign of things to come.
The players attended Bengal Lounge last Thursday to thank the sponsors; Imran Abs, Ali Bahar and Saleh Ahmed for this kind gesture however their kindness did not end there. The sponsors and their staff Masud Rumon and Mizan offered the players and their parents food and drink prior to having our photo taken by the Newton News. All the lads tucked into fine indian cusine which we can highly reccomend. The manager of the under 14’s Damian would like to thank the Bengal Lounge for this lovely gesture and as requested by Abs he will be keeping him updated of their progress throughout the season.
