Dear Sir,
It is with great regret, that I would like to inform all concerned, that I shall not be standing for re-election as a Great Aycliffe Town Councillor this year. Unfortunately, due to health and mobility issues, I feel I am no longer able to give the good people of Aycliffe Village the representation they deserve.
May I take this opportunity to convey my thanks to the residents of Aycliffe Village, my long suffering fellow Councillors, Great Aycliffe Town Council employees and Mayors for their support over the last 30 odd years.
I would like to add that Carl Robinson will be standing. In my opinion he is exactly the type of candidate I would wish to replace me. Carl is enthusiastic, intelligent, experienced and, most importantly, passionate, regarding the Village community. He has my best wishes, support and, hopefully, yours too.
