The dynamic Residents Association, ACORN, will be holding their monthly meeting at 6pm Thursday 12th June in the Royal British Legion upstairs lounge.
ACORN incorporates Woodham Burn Neighbour-hood Watch within its organisation and a junior group of Little ACORNS.
ACORN Residents take a keen interest in events which affect Newton Aycliffe and try to champion causes which benefit our great town and its residents.
Subjects for discussion will include events, which ACORN intend to organise this coming year and items of interest to the community.
ACORN welcome attendance from representatives of other community groups and interested parties.  Attending ACORN meetings gives access to town councillors, county councillors and representatives from livin Housing and is a forum for residents to air views and seek support.
Police representatives may also be in attendance, duties permitting. At least three members of the group are now Welfare Champions and are eager to dispense advice signposting through other organisations and GACAP.
You are assured of a warm welcome; so please come along. ACORN Junior Section “Little Acorns” also welcomes new members and will be holding a meeting at the same venue from 5.30pm to plan trips and events.
