Dear Sir,
An air of sadness was evident at the last meeting of ACORN when the demise of our dear friend and supporter Councillor Enid Paylor was announced.
Many of our members were personal friends of Enid and as a group we will miss her and her input terribly. A ready smile and kindly remark were her stock in trade, where others said she was capable of a common sense approach.
Newton Aycliffe has lost a treasure and we will aspire to carry on the task of building our community in her honour. Our collective thoughts are with husband Terry and family.
