Dear Sir, Some action needs to be taken on Pease Way, as it is twelve years since I first reported the large numbers of speeding vehicles to the Durham Constabulary. I do concede action was taken by inserting useless chicanes, after incidents including a crashed car landing inches from two children playing on their garden swing. One child has already been killed on this road, with several accidents, yet no concrete action is pending as far as I know. It is a race track, and the nip points do not slow the traffic and bad drivers just take chances on good drivers giving way. I intend to initiate a petition to have the road calming removed and speed humps installed, as this is the ONLY way to stop the speeding, not only on Pease way but on all the non classified roads, I recently counted 70 vehicles speeding on Pease Way. I did not have a speed camera, but as a retired professional driver of 48 years I know a speeding vehicle when I see it! I cannot do anything about bad driving, but there is also a lot ridiculous parking too, and cars are just dumped  by the driver obstructing junctions, bus stops, garages, driveways,and paths.
